Some recently funded work

We recently had several grants funded. Two were highlighted in eCALS, the news site for faculty, staff, graduate students and friends of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

  1. Developing biobased plasticizers and processing methods to create edible, sustainable plastic packaging alternatives from proteins (PI: Girard)
  2. Development of novel protein-fortified thickened fluids optimized for swallowing biomechanics (PI: Hartel; Girard is a co-I)
